I ve compared back and forth with the waves ssl and decided to go with the waves v comp.
It really smooths out the overall level.

I think that waves ssl plugs are pretty on but aside from that i really don t know how accurate most of their emulations are beside from the 1176 cla 76 which isnt too far off imo.

It features independent limiter and compressor sections and you can vary the amount of analog emulation with the analog knob.

The neve 2254 was created with the same purpose as the ssl it has nothing to do with glue which was to be part of a mixing console as a module and although it is not as well known as a glue.

Compared to the two aforementioned it sounds smoother perhaps more subtle and more full bodied in my opinion.
The v comp is a totally different flavor.
The vertigo is very nice.
The waves ssl e channel and g channel plugins.

I could live with these three if necessary.
Regardless i do find the v series pretty useful.
